To put things in perspective, 100 years vs. infinity is nothing. In the blink of an eye, we’ll be gone. You’ll be looking back and thinking “I should have been engaged, laughing, fully present, and now I’m dead”.
Thankfully, we still have a great amount of time on our hands, and without doubt, the best use of the world’s most precious resource is done when we are fully present.
It’s easy to think we’re too cool for stress, that we already built strong foundations and habits allowing us to steer clear of it, and if so, well done to you, high five. Having worked with employees in the corporate world for years, we must admit it’s quite rare we witness individuals with systems so strong they can evade all forms of work-related stress.
We now know that happiness is the precursor to success, not merely the result. It makes sense to invest in our happiness before we invest our efforts elsewhere. Some actions seems to provide a greater return on their investment than others, so we thought it was a good opportunity to dive into a few of them today.
If we had to take an educated guess, we could approximate the three most frequent answers to the world’s most common question.
“How are you?”
- Not Bad
We thought you'd never ask.
In Bloom believes that happy and healthy people will make any business thrive, so we focus on improving the wellbeing and productivity of individuals by delivering bespoke wellness solutions to organisations.
We’ve read that on any given month, the simple phrase "How to Lose Weight?” will be plugged more than 135,000 times into Google. The constant quest (and sometimes battle) to lose weight and keep it off is one that nearly every single human being has already, or will be confronted with at any given point in their lives.
How to create a sense of home no matter where we are in the world has always been a priority for us. In alignment with our monthly campaign “What is your practice?”, we have outlined the practice of wellbeing by creating a home felt connection at all times.
For many of us, roughly 15% of our lives will be spent in the classroom, to learn, to widen our horizons, to get exposed to new idea & cultures, to deepen our knowledge, and fundamentally, to change our brains. Some athletes will train as much as 35 hours/week, to excel, to compete at world class levels, to master their craft, and fundamentally, to change their bodies (and this all starts in the brain).
It’s a thin line isn’t in?
A thin line indeed, and one that makes a bold difference. It’s never been easier to be good, and never been harder to stand out. As Al Pacino would say in his famous speech delivered in Any Given Sunday; “Life is a game of inches."
