The Emotional Intelligence Course

The Emotional Intelligence Course

No one cares how much you know, until they know how much you care.
— Theodore Roosevelt

What is the goal of this program?

The office is perhaps one of the most complex environments for emotions. Combine different personality types, competing priorities, different organisational goals and high stress levels – all is the same workspace.

Now more than ever, it is important for leaders and individuals to understand how to harness emotions to cultivate productivity and foster positive and healthy relationships.

Emotional Intelligence (EQ) is the quality that enables us to negotiate with patience, insight and empathy the central problems in our relationships with others and with ourselves.

In the workplace, EQ can be manifested as a sensitivity to the moods of others, a better understanding of what may be going on beyond the surface, and a better ability to enter imaginatively into the point of view of others.

In relation to ourselves, EQ helps us to deal with anger, envy, anxiety and confusion. Emotional intelligence is what distinguishes those who are overwhelmed when failure comes to others who know how to greet the troubles of life with learned resilience.

Course Outline

  1. Learn to seek, invite, and strive for good behavioural feedback.

It takes something more than intelligence to act intelligently.
— Fyodor Dostoyevsky

I loved the course, the meaning and benefits of meditation and mindfulness, and the tactics to continue this practice on a regular basis. I also loved the group interactions and chats with colleagues which brought us closer!
— Bree Bunzel, APAC Product Marketing Lead at Dropbox

I’d definitely recommend the One Giant Mind course to anyone who is interested in deepening their knowledge and practice of meditation. Joannie’s cut through approach allows to get to the essence of the practice and focuses on what you can really take with you for the rest of your life - if you have a chance to attend the course and are interested in what meditation can do for you, don’t hesitate.
