Men's Health Workshop
WORKSHOP GOAL
Men's life expectancy is on average six years shorter than women, and for reasons that are largely preventable. It doesn’t have to be that way. Some simple actions can go a long way in improving the quality of our lives.
The men’s health workshop is offered for a limited period yearly in line with the Movember movement. This workshop opens up a conversation about men’s health awareness and healthy lifestyles for men. The workshop will discuss cancers that affect men, and focus on the easy to action habits for prevention.
Around the world, we lose a man to suicide every minute of every day. This health crisis demands urgent action to give men back their missing years and to protect their health and wellbeing throughout their life. This means the focus of the discussion is mainly on mental health for men, which is the number cause of death for men under 45 in Australia.

FAQ
Can women attend this workshop?
Absolutely. Women must attend this workshop. The aim is to equip both men and women with tools to help their partners, colleagues, friends and family. A conversation about men’s health is only half heard without women.
“Recognizing and preventing men's health problems is not just a man's issue. Because of its impact on wives, mothers, daughters, and sisters, men's health is truly a family issue.”
-Bill Richardson
